Understand support and management of transitions for individuals with autism

Unit 4

Therapeutic interventions and support available for individuals with autism and co-occurring conditions

Unit 5

Communication and social interaction with individuals with autism 

Unit 6

Safeguarding and resilience in autism

Upon completion, you will have developed a comprehensive understanding of autism.

You will have gained knowledge and understanding of the characteristics and traits displayed by individuals on the autism spectrum. Also, you will be able to recognise the importance of formal diagnosis and the role of interventions in managing autism.

This qualification opens the door to numerous career opportunities in education and mentoring, which will provide a pathway for further education and professional development in the field. 

1. You must currently live in a Non-Devolved Area of England or the Great London Area (GLA). If you live in GLA you must evidence you have permission to remain here for the next 365 days. For the rest of the country, you must have been resident in the UK/EEA for 3+ years, for purposes other than study.
2. You must be over the age of 19 or older (on 31 August 2024) and be able to fully commit to this course.
3. You must have the relevant ID to register for this course. (passport, visa/permit, birth certificate or driving licence and proof of address within the last 3 months)
4. You must not have done this qualification at the same or higher level previously.

The course is delivered remotely and you will need a laptop or computer to be able to access and study on this course.
